From Getback to May the Lord Watch

· Our Story

Little Brother has had more than one chapter. This post covers the years from the duo era to our return, and what came after it.

What changed in 2007?

9th Wonder, who produced our early records, left the group in 2007. Phonte and Rapper Big Pooh kept going as a duo, and on October 23, 2007 we released Getback, our first album as two.

What happened in 2010?

On April 10, 2010 we released Leftback. Shortly after it came out, we announced that Little Brother was breaking up. For the years after that, there was no new Little Brother album.

When did we reunite?

In 2019, Phonte and Big Pooh came back together as Little Brother. On August 19, 2019 we announced May the Lord Watch, and it came out the very next day. It was our fifth album, and our first in nine years.

What came after the return?

In 2025 we went out on "Curtain Call: The Final Tour", a farewell run for the group.

How do you wear that story?

  • Keep it simple: the navy and gold script "L" on the chest works with jeans, joggers or a jacket over it.
  • Go big: the portrait design with LITTLE and BROTHER in pink lettering is made to be the whole outfit.
  • Layer it: a tee under an open hoodie or crewneck gives you two designs at once.
  • Give it: a hoodie with the "L" is an easy gift for anyone who grew up on these records.
